I enjoy cooking again! I enjoy eating! I enjoy going grocery shopping! I’m still a frugal shopper and I’ve discovered that it’s just as inexpensive to eat True Carnivore as it is to eat a frugal Standard American Diet — even when making everything from scratch.
With Carnivore, cooking is fast and simple. Fry something up in a frying pan, air fryer, instant pot or oven. Generally it’s a single item (ground beef, steak, roast, chop, etc.) cooked in butter. No measuring, no mixing, no getting bowls, pots AND casserole dishes dirty. And no leftovers to store and try and remember to eat before they go bad!!
When I cook Carnivore, I use a single frying pan OR the airfryer OR the instant pot. So only 1 item needs to be cleaned … then the plates and silverware we use while eating. That’s it!! Cleaning up the entire kitchen is so easy! There’s no huge mess of clutter all over the counters — don’t lie, you know what I’m talking about! You’ve either seen it or you’ve created it! (Think Thanksgiving! — that used to be almost every day for me because I cooked from scratch!) No cans, bottles and boxes to be thrown away. No extra spoons, mixing bowls and other stuff to try and figure out how to fit into the dishwasher like a big dirty, grimy jigsaw puzzle. In fact, since starting our Carnivore Challenge, we only run the dishwasher every other day at most instead of once or twice per day.
What I’m trying to say is that I LOVE how going carnivore has started to affect different aspects of my life — in a positive way — aspects that I never thought about or even considered when researching this WOE (way of eating). I say WOE instead of diet because I’m certainly not dieting. I think this is going to be a lifestyle change for us. Something long term.
